Who makes it

BeyondQueries is built by Irevex.

A hosted tool for asking a database questions in plain English — for one person with one database, and for teams where the people asking are not the people who know the schema.

The product

Built around one observation.

A tool that writes SQL will get some questions wrong, and the person who spots it is almost never the person who can fix the model. So the fix has to be something a non-engineer can do in the moment: mark the answer wrong, say why, and have a reviewer approve it — after which the correction is part of how the next question gets answered.

Everything else follows from that. The correction store has to be shared, so the product is hosted rather than a desktop client. Corrections have to be approved by someone trusted, so there are five roles and a review permission. And the generated SQL is always shown, because a correction you cannot inspect is a correction nobody will make.

The company

Irevex.

BeyondQueries is built and run by Irevex, a product startup building AI-native software for teams that work with data. BeyondQueries is in early access, and the team behind it answers support email directly at support@irevex.com. The company lives at irevex.com.

The name

It used to be called DataSpeak.

Until September 2026 this product was DataSpeak. Only the name changed: your account, your connected databases, your notes and your approved corrections are exactly where they were. It now lives at beyondqueries.com.

The new one says what the product is for. The query is the middle of the job, not the end of it — BeyondQueries writes it, checks it, runs it read-only and explains the rows. The mechanism is described here. Other products that share the old name, such as a desktop database client and a data-science consultancy, are not related to this one or to Irevex.

Try it on your own data

Easier to judge than to read about.

Connect a database with a read-only user, ask three real questions, and correct the first thing it gets wrong.
